Janky @ The Kimbrough Cotton Patch Fest

The Kimbrough Cotton Patch Festival is 3 days of the best blues music being created these days. The lineup consists of those that have played with Junior Kimbrough, descendants of the North Mississippi founders of this music and those that are carrying the torch of this distinct form of music.

Janky checked one off his bucket list by having the great Kinney Kimbrough play drums on a few of Janky’s favorite Junior Kimbrough songs. Kinney is the drummer you hear on most of Junior’s music.

It was 3 days of juking with great people.

Junior Kimbrough’s Juke Joint on Google Earth

Few people know that you can scrub back in time on Google Earth revealing all kinds of fun historical stuff. I even found Hitler's lair before we bombed it into oblivion (mess with the US and Allies and find out). I went through the years and found Junior's Juke Joint outside of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Here is a Google Earth breakdown. Enjoy.
